Wasp (Nadia van Dyne) is the daughter of Henry Pym and a superhero in the Marvel Universe.
History[]
Nadia was the daughter of Henry Pym and his first wife Maria who was born shortly after Maria was kidnapped by Russian agents. Nadia was raised in the Red Room and trained to be a Black Widow. Nadia was assigned to work with Pym particles when she displayed high intelligence and scientific aptitude. Nadia used the Pym particles to shrink and escape the Red Room.
Learning her father was Henry Pym, Nadia fled to America to meet him. But sadly, Henry had vanished in his fight with Ultron. Nadia shrunk and entered Henry’s lab, where she found his Ant-Man costumes. Nadia used the costumes and equipment in the lab to build a suit and give herself powers. Nadia left to find Janet van Dyne, Henry’s ex-wife and the Wasp. Janet felt a strong bond with Nadia and gave her the last name of “van Dyne”. Nadia trained under Janet to become a new Wasp.
Powers[]
Wasp can shrink to insect size using Pym particles and can fire blasts of bio-electric force from her hands. Artificial wings in her costume allow her to fly.
