Uatu, the being known as the Watcher, is an entity in the Marvel Universe that watches and records the activities of Earth and is forbidden from intervening.
Origin[]
Uatu is a member of a race who vowed never to interfere, merely recording information for any sentient beings who come after the end of the universe. Uatu largely follows the rules of his people, but has decided form time to time to break his code for a greater good.
Biography[]
Uatu was born a member of the race known as the Watchers and was the son of the Watcher named Ikor. The Watchers, having indirectly allowed a planet to destroy themselves with a nuclear powered war, the Watchers were determined to adhere to a law of strict non-interferrence written by Ikor.
